Sam and Betty planted a church, CEFC-Panama, among the Chinese in El Dorado area, Panama City. It has grown and requires more staff and space. Betty is serving in administrative duties, teaching children’s Sunday School, and helping with the music ministry. The Wais are involved with Chinese Christian Herald Crusade (CCHC) of New York in publishing newspapers and hosting 2 weekly Chinese radio programs. Sam is co-vice chair of Panama Christian Academy, a kindergarten to Grade 8 trilingual Christian school (English, Spanish and Chinese).
