EFCCM’s International Presence
Evangelism
The EFCCM places an extremely high value on introducing people to Christ. It is accomplished in formal church outreach programs, Gospel-oriented radio broadcasts or even friendship evangelism in active coffee houses.
Church Planting
After people have heard, and maybe even begun a journey of faith, they need a place where that faith can be nurtured. The overarching goal of the EFCCM is to plant and grow healthy churches internationally. Establishing a strong, committed body of believers is the first step to any kind of real ministry. Our missionaries tailor their church-planting efforts to the culture they’re faced with and the opportunities God gives them.
Compassion Ministry
The EFCCM invests a significant amount of energy, time and finances to meet practical needs in many places around the world. It includes health care, from clinics in Africa to hospital equipment in Cuba (this is the goal of MEMO — Medical Equipment Modernization Opportunity). It is also reaching into areas like micro-enterprise development, agricultural training and life-skills education which seek to give people sustainable income with the resources they have available. One of the most recent additions in this area is preventing abuse among women and children. Our faith compels us to act on behalf of those that can’t act for themselves, and to make a difference wherever we can.
Muslim Ministry
We are reaching out to isolated Muslim people groups in several countries (including Canada!). While there are 57 translations of the Koran, only in the Arabic language is it believed to be inspired. Formal ceremonies require chanting in Arabic, and while various Muslim populations around the world learn the chants, they don’t know what they mean. Understandably, many Muslims have a confused system of beliefs. We seek to share the truth of the Gospel with understanding and compassion. We even offer a seminar to teach Canadians the basics of Muslim faith, and how to build relational bridges between Christians and Muslims. Contact us if you’d like your church to be involved!
