Are We a Conquered People?

, ,

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.” (II Corinthians 2:14)

Paul reminds us that we are like ancient soldiers, conquered by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself – marching in His triumphal procession. We have the privilege of spreading His fame and fragrance to all peoples, and as Paul wonders, “who is sufficient for these things?” Thanks be to God who through His Spirit empowers us to carry out this task with sincerity!

And thank you for standing with us as we seek to spread the aroma of his gospel of truth to the nations! We really can do more together than alone!

I trust you are enjoying the first expressions/realities of spring! Please allow me to update you on what I see God doing in the EFCC!

I had a fabulous time with Steve and Myra Neufeld (and all our missionaries) in Bolivia! Water wells, radio, transition homes, children’s homes, ministry centers, church planting, farming, coffee houses and much more – we are doing great ministry there! It was great to be there to encourage our team!

  • What a great church planting boot camp we had here at the Fosmark Centre the first week of May! 17 people were blessed by Charlie Worley and his team!
  • What a great theological summit we had May 10-12 in Calgary! Dr. Grant Osbourne was fabulous – the papers from our EFCC guys were also great!  Thanks Ron, Shaun and Ian for organizing this – DVDs will be available soon for those who want to catch up on “The Holy Spirit and Hermeneutics”!
  • I had a great visit in Toronto!  We have an Iranian church plant in the Greater Toronto area that is looking to join the Central District – what a vibrant group of 35-40 believers!  Please pray for this group as they look to grow their church and join the EFCC family!
  • Thanks all you churches who participated in the Home Office Sunday – we have received over $4400.00 so far!  Thanks so much!

Thank you for your prayers and support!

Serving with you,

Treasurer Invite

  • Do you feel uncertain about your role?
  • Do you wish you had a better handle on some of the EFCC specifics?
  • Do you wish you could be kept up to date on legal changes that impact your church?

Treasurers, finance committee members and board members, we recognise the challenges that you face, and we want to help. At Home Office, we are given the latest information about updated tax laws, or new best practices. We have resources here that may be of benefit to you. And we have also been hard at work imagining improved (simplified) methods to financially support the whole operation of the EFCC, including Home Office. We are assembling a mailing list that would get this pertinent and important information right into your hands.

If you would like to be on it, please contact us with your name and e-mail address.

Please share this post with anyone you think would benefit at it from your church. We look forward to hearing from you!
